La Mâțe
La Mâțe is a rescue cat cafe in Botoșani, part of the TrioVet veterinary clinic complex on Strada I.C. Brătianu. It was opened in January 2025 by two local vets, Dănuț Bratu and Daniel Bejinariu, as a home for cats they had rescued, many of them from serious injuries or neglect. More than 100 sterilised cats live across about ten rooms, several cats to a room, and visitors move between the rooms with a drink from the snack bar. Entry depends on available space. Lint rollers and a sink for washing hands are provided. Visitors who form a bond with a cat can apply to adopt it, although many of the residents, including cats with disabilities, are long-term residents. The cafe also hosts talks on animal care. It is closed on Mondays for cleaning and to give the cats a rest.

Red Cat Cafe
Chernivtsi51 mi / 83 km
Red Cat Cafe is the only cat cafe in Chernivtsi, on Stepana Bandery Street in the city centre near the university and the main tourist routes. It opened in October 2025, founded by a local couple, one of them a veterinarian, partly with a state small-business grant. Around eight cats live here, all taken from volunteers or rescued from difficult situations, some evacuated from areas of fighting; they include a large Maine Coon. The cafe has two floors: coffee, homemade desserts and light snacks are ordered downstairs, and upstairs there are board games, books and cat toys. The cats go wherever they like, tables included. Children under 10 can visit only with a booking. House rules ask guests not to wake sleeping cats, pick them up against their will or feed them human food, and to take photos without flash.
Café Retro
Iasi57 mi / 92 km
Café Retro is a vintage-style cafe and bar in an ivy-covered old house in the Copou district of Iași, at the corner of Strada Lascăr Catargi and Strada Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu, near Building B of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. It was not designed as a cat cafe, but over the years it has taken in several cats, about four, that live in the house and wander between the sofas and tables, and the cafe advertises them alongside its board games and bookshelves. The menu covers coffee, tea, cakes, cocktails and beer, and the cafe hosts acoustic concerts and workshops. There is no entry fee. Visitors' dogs are also welcome, and there is a garden courtyard and a children's room. The cafe is open every day, until late on weekends.

Chisinau112 mi / 181 km
Cats Café is a cat cafe on the fourth floor of the Sun City shopping centre on Strada Pușkin in central Chișinău. Opened in 2018 as the first cat cafe in the city, it is laid out around the floor in two parts: a dining area without cats and a closed room where the resident cats live, many of them pedigree cats with veterinary passports. The kitchen serves a full menu of breakfasts, pancakes, main dishes, coffee and lemonades, and the cafe is popular with families and children. There is no entry fee, but each guest is expected to order a minimum amount. Visitors clean their hands on arrival and are asked not to feed the cats, wake sleeping cats or chase them. Booking is optional, though recommended for groups of four or more. The cafe is open every day.

Kotoprostir Mama Cat is a cat space and mini-shelter on Zarichanska Street in Khmelnytskyi, run as an anti-cafe where visitors spend time with cats that are waiting for new homes. It started with a handful of cats and now cares for around 50, all vaccinated, and it is currently not taking in new cats while it rehomes the ones it has. The space opens to visitors at weekends. There is no kitchen; tea, coffee and sweets are available, along with board games and drawing supplies, and the space is also used for board-game evenings, small celebrations and as a quiet place to work or study. Every visit supports the cats' care and sterilisation, and the team posts regular reports on adoptions and fundraisers.
