La Gateria

La Gateria is a solidarity cat cafe located in the Sant Andreu neighborhood of Barcelona, Catalonia. This non-profit project combines a cozy, quiet cafe space with a dedicated cat lounge, offering visitors a charming place to relax while spending time with adorable feline residents. The cafe is run as a protectora specializing in cats, and every kitty on site is available for adoption, having been rescued from street colonies or difficult circumstances. Guests can enjoy vegan refreshments, including coffee and pastries such as croissants, while browsing a thoughtful selection of second-hand books that support the shelter's mission. Friendly volunteers help introduce visitors to the cats, creating a warm atmosphere perfect for quiet interaction. Reservations are encouraged for visits. La Gateria is a welcoming destination for cat lovers who want to meet wonderful cats in need of forever homes.
