Kawiarnia Kota Gacka

Kawiarnia Kota Gacka is a cat cafe and foster home on Kaszubska Street in central Szczecin, on the spot where Gacek, the street cat who became one of the city's best-known attractions on Google Maps, once had his outdoor shelter. Run by a foundation set up by two sisters, it opened on Friday 13 December 2024 at 13:13 and takes in cats from the animal shelter in Choszczno while they wait for new homes. Visitors can adopt them after the usual adoption procedure. The cafe opened with eight cats, and the interior is fitted out for them with shelves and hiding places and decorated with photos of Gacek, who now lives in a private home. The foundation also runs educational work on animal welfare and volunteering. Coffee, matcha, chocolate, cakes and other sweets are served, and the cafe is open every day.
