Katzentempel Dortmund
Katzentempel Dortmund is a vegan cat cafe and restaurant of the Katzentempel chain under construction on Kampstraße in Dortmund's city centre, in the former Conrad building that runs through to Westenhellweg, close to the Thier-Galerie shopping centre. It is run by two former staff members of Katzentempel Bochum. As at other branches, cats from animal welfare organisations will live in the restaurant and move freely among the guests, with their own retreat area; the first cat for Dortmund is a young tomcat rescued from the streets of Dubai. Guests will order from the chain's fully plant-based menu of breakfasts, bowls, burgers and cakes, with no entry fee. The restaurant is planned with around 70 seats.

Katzentempel Bochum
Bochum, Nordrhein Westfalen10 mi / 17 km
Katzentempel Bochum is a vegan cat cafe and restaurant on Huestraße in the pedestrian zone of Bochum's city centre, a few minutes' walk from Bochum Hauptbahnhof. It was the first branch of the Katzentempel chain in the Ruhr area. The resident cats come from animal welfare organisations, with earlier cats rescued from Cyprus and Egypt, and each is named after a word from the Ruhr dialect, such as Scholli, Bömsken, Lorbass and Firlefanz. The cats live in the dining room and move freely between the tables, with a separate quiet room they can retreat to. There is no entry fee; guests order from a fully plant-based menu of breakfasts, bowls, burgers, sandwiches, salads and cakes, with coffee, teas and homemade lemonades. Reservations can be made online, and groups of more than six should call. Cat sponsorships and vouchers are sold on site and online.

Osnabrueck, Niedersachsen58 mi / 94 km
Katzentempel Osnabrück is a vegan cat restaurant on Georgstraße in Osnabrück's city centre, in premises that stood empty for some time before the chain moved in. It opened at the end of September 2026 as the chain's only current branch in Lower Saxony. Resident cats from the Tierheim Tecklenburger Land animal shelter live in the restaurant, spread over two floors, and come and go as they please. Guests enter through a small airlock and are then shown to a table, and, as in every Katzentempel, the cats may not be fed, picked up or chased. The fully plant-based menu covers breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, cakes, desserts and coffee specialties. Since the opening the restaurant has often been fully booked, so reserving a table online is advisable. It is open every day, until late evening on Fridays and Saturdays.

Zutphen, Gelderland69 mi / 111 km
Kattencafé 't Visje in central Zutphen, Gelderland, is a volunteer-run cafe shared with seven resident cats. Most came from shelters and were selected for life in a public setting. Guests pass through an entry airlock before reaching the cats, which helps keep them safely indoors. The menu includes Brute Bonen coffee, tea, cakes and sandwiches, with vegan and gluten-friendly choices available. The cafe sometimes holds game nights and other small events. Its cats are permanent residents and are not available for adoption. Outside animals require advance permission.
