Cafe Meow is a cat cafe on pedestrianised Birley Street in Blackpool town centre, about ten minutes on foot from Blackpool North station. Opened in October 2022 by a local couple with a background in hospitality, it was the resort's first cat cafe. Most of the cats living at the cafe are rescues up for adoption, supplied by two local charities, Cats in Care and Tenderpaws, and kittens are often in residence alongside a few resident cats. Visitors book an hour with the cats, and the entry fee includes one drink from the standard menu, with milkshakes, frappes, cakes and other food available at extra cost. CATW Cafe is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit cat cafe on St Mary's Street in the centre of Whitchurch, the north Shropshire market town near the Cheshire and Welsh borders. It is run by Cat Assist Team Whitchurch (CATW), a local cat rescue, and every penny raised goes back into rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats. The rescue cats live in the cafe, and visitors can meet them with a view to adoption or simply spend time with them.
