funnyCat
funnyCat is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Irumagawa, Sayama, about six minutes on foot from the west exit of Sayamashi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line and three minutes from Sayama City Hall. Run by a non-profit and open since 2015, it occupies the second floor above the group's dog grooming salon. The cats are mostly adults rescued from the Saitama Prefecture animal control centre, hoarding cases and collapsed breeding operations, and around twenty share the main room, all looking for new homes. Visitors can play with the cats or simply read, and outside food, drinks and toys are not allowed. Children of junior high school age and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. Adoptions include a home delivery and a trial period of about a week, and the cafe also holds adoption events on site. It opens Friday to Sunday only, and there is no parking.

Sora Cafe Neko no Niwa is a cafe with resident rescue cats on the fifth floor of a building in Toyooka, Iruma, about three minutes on foot from Irumashi Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. It first opened in 2026 and reopened in July after a pause. The cafe area, with large windows over the town, is separated from the cats' room, called the garden, by glass, so guests can watch the cats over lunch or coffee without going in.
