Fukuneko Sabo was a cat cafe on the third floor of the Sanko Asabu Building in Asabu, Kita Ward, Sapporo, next to Exit 5 of Asabu Station on the Namboku subway line. It kept more than 15 resident cats, many of them pedigree breeds such as Scottish Folds, LaPerms, Selkirk Rex, Maine Coons, Exotic Shorthairs and a Munchkin, along with its oldest cat, a mixed-breed female named Kuri. Visits cost ¥500 for 30 minutes or ¥1,000 for an hour including one drink, with weekday packages of two or three hours, and drinks such as coffee, tea and cocoa were ¥250, with homemade cakes from ¥200. Shoes came off at the entrance and visitors washed their hands before meeting the cats. It was closed on Mondays. The cafe has since closed.
