肥貓咖啡 Fat Cat Coffee
Fat Cat Coffee (肥貓咖啡) is an independent cafe at the quiet end of historic Shennong Street in West Central District, Tainan, an old merchant lane lit with painted lanterns. Its shop cats are the heart of the place: the black-and-white Bin Bin, a long-time favourite who comes when called and makes the rounds of every table, and the more aloof Yae. The cats are free to sit with guests or retreat somewhere quieter. Memories of an earlier shop cat, Xiong Xiong, live on in photos and portraits around the room. The owner bakes the desserts, notably chiffon cakes, tiramisu, brownies and crème brûlée, and serves coffee including cold brew and sea-salt caramel lattes. The minimum spend is one drink.
