Das House
Das House is a cat cafe and cocktail bar on Gumpendorfer Straße in Vienna's 6th district, Mariahilf, within walking distance of the U3 Neubaugasse and U4 Kettenbrückengasse stations and the Naschmarkt. Opened at the turn of 2025, it shares its room with rescued street cats from Istanbul, nine of them in mid-2026, which move freely between the tables and have a separate rest area that guests may not enter. Many of the cats are looking for homes, and visitors who want to adopt fill in an application so the team can check the match. There is no entry fee. By day the menu has breakfasts, waffles, Flammkuchen, ciabatta, cakes and coffee, with several vegan dishes, and on Friday and Saturday evenings it becomes a bar serving cat-themed cocktails until 1 AM. Coffee can be ordered with a printed photo on the milk foam, and tables can be booked online.
