Crumbs & Whiskers is a kitten and cat cafe in an old house on M Street in Georgetown, Washington DC. It opened in 2015 as the city's first cat cafe, and its founder, Kanchan Singh, later added a second branch in Los Angeles. More than 25 adoptable cats and kittens, rescued from overcrowded shelters through partner Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, live in the upstairs lounge. Visits are ticketed in 15-, 30- and 70-minute sessions, with higher prices on weekends, and every person entering needs a ticket and a signed waiver. Groups are limited to six, children under 7 are not admitted, and private events are available for larger parties. Snacks and drinks are sold before each session but not prepared on site. Booking ahead is recommended. The cafe closed in February 2026 and reopened in May 2026, after its staff unionized.

MeowTown Cat Lounge
