Patriot Pawsabilities Cat Lounge

Patriot Pawsabilities, affectionately known as P2, is a veteran-owned cat lounge located on the backside of University Mall in Fairfax, Virginia, created by Monique (Mo) Ryan, a 20-year retired Army warrant officer and lifelong animal lover. This bright and colorful space offers a cage-free, home-like environment where up to 35 cats and 20 kittens from local rescues roam freely across its Main Lounge and Kitten Room, providing a lively setting for visitors to relax, study, or attend events like Crafting with Cats and Meowvie Night. The lounge’s mission goes beyond relaxation, aiming to socialize cats and facilitate adoptions by allowing guests to interact with them in a natural setting, helping match felines with their forever homes. While food and drinks aren’t served on-site, visitors are welcome to bring in items purchased from University Mall to enjoy alongside the therapeutic purrs of the cats, known to reduce stress and enhance well-being. Situated near George Mason University, Patriot Pawsabilities also serves as a welcoming retreat for students and anyone seeking a bit of zen with feline friends, with reservations recommended for the full cat-cuddling experience.
