Neko Kinpa 猫金波 is a Japanese izakaya with resident cats on the 3rd floor of Mira Place 1 on Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, a few minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station. It opened in early 2026 in the unit formerly used by the Maha Cats lounge. The restaurant is divided into a cat area and a cat-free area, plus an outdoor terrace; before entering the cat area guests wash their hands and have their shoes sanitised. Several cats live there, and guests can play with them using toys while they eat. The menu covers skewers, sashimi, seafood cups, fried dishes, sake and cocktails. Dogs are welcome in the dining area, and the owners occasionally hold cat adoption days and pet-themed events. In the evenings the same space also hosts Itotsuki, a Japanese-style concept cafe with costumed staff. Reservations are taken by Instagram message.

Catfe is a camping-themed cat restaurant on the 4th floor of Ko's House on Nathan Road, about three minutes on foot from Yau Ma Tei MTR Station Exit A1. At around 1,600 to 2,000 square feet it is one of the larger cat cafes in Mong Kok, with wooden decor, tatami floor seating, a swing and artificial grass. Around 30 or more cats live in the cafe, most of them rescued strays, and some can be adopted on the spot. There is no entry fee; instead each guest orders from the menu, with a minimum spend per person that is higher at weekends, plus a service charge. Stays are unlimited at quiet times and limited to about 90 minutes at busy times. The kitchen serves pasta, burgers, rice plates, all-day breakfast, desserts and drinks, and cat treats are sold at the counter. Booking ahead is recommended at weekends.

URBAN Cafe's Mong Kok branch is a large rescue cat cafe on the 14th floor of CTMA Centre on Sai Yeung Choi Street South, about four minutes on foot from Yau Ma Tei MTR Station Exit A2. The space covers roughly 4,000 square feet and is home to several dozen cats that roam freely between the tables. URBAN Cafe is a non-profit chain that takes in stray and abandoned cats and dogs, works with animal welfare groups on medical care and rehoming, and offers jobs to long-term unemployed people and people with disabilities. There is no entry fee: guests order food and drinks, with a minimum spend per person that is higher in the evening. QRF 火之神 is a small ground-floor Japanese-style restaurant at the southern end of Tung Choi Street, the Ladies' Market street in Mong Kok, about five minutes on foot from Mong Kok MTR Station Exit E2. Around eight to ten resident cats wander freely among the tables, including Ragdolls and other pedigree breeds, and kittens are sometimes present. There is no entry fee or time charge: each guest orders at least one item, with a low minimum spend, and can then stay and pet the cats that come over. The menu is simple and inexpensive, with omurice, Japanese curry, chicken steak and pork chop rice bowls, noodles, fried snacks and drinks, and there is a weekday discount. The dining room is narrow, with booth seating, so tables may be shared at busy times. It is open every day from midday until the late evening.

Hug and Home is a co-working space shared with rescued cats on the tenth floor of Anton Building in Wan Chai, a few minutes on foot from Wan Chai MTR Station Exit B3 or Admiralty Station Exit F. It doubles as a foster home for stray cats rescued by its founders, and most of the resident cats are waiting for adoption through the space's own screening process. Visitors pay by the hour, with higher rates on weekends and public holidays, and can work, study, read or simply sit with the cats; complimentary drinks and snacks are provided. Only guests aged 12 and over are admitted, socks must be worn and voices kept low. Seats can be booked online or by phone and WhatsApp. The space also sells handmade cat goods and hosts workshops, volunteer talks and adoption days. It moved within Anton Building in April 2026.

Cats Tea Room Causeway Bay is the Hong Kong Island branch of a local cat cafe chain that opened its first shop in 2014. It is on the second floor of Lai Yuen Building on Russell Street, behind the Apple Store and about three minutes on foot from Causeway Bay MTR Station Exit A or F1. Around 23 cats live here, all adopted strays, and some are available for adoption. Visits are charged by the hour, with a higher first-hour rate and lower weekday prices; the charge covers the space, free-flow tea and coffee, board games and massage chairs. Light meals, cheesecakes and cat treats cost extra. Guests may stroke the cats but not pick them up, and each child under 11 needs an accompanying adult. The cafe takes online bookings and walk-ins, hosts birthday parties and workshops, and donates part of its income to stray cat groups.
