Calla's Kitty Garden
Calla's Kitty Garden is a cat room at the back of Animal House Retail for Rescue, a nonprofit pet supply store on South Hanover Street (Route 100) in North Coventry Township, just south of Pottstown across the Schuylkill River. The room is run by Calla's Critter Rescue, a cat rescue based in Elverson, and is filled with adoptable cats and kittens, each wearing a collar with its name. Visitors can drop in to play with and cuddle the cats in a large room with comfortable seating, and self-serve coffee and tea are provided. No booking is needed: the room is open during store hours, though it is occasionally closed to visits, so calling ahead is advised. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and anyone holding a cat sits on the floor. All the cats can be adopted through Calla's Critter Rescue.
