Opened in September 2023 by a breeder, it is home to about five Sphynx and Elf cats, a curl-eared hairless breed, which are known for being sociable and enjoying close contact; their warm, bare skin also makes the cafe an option for some visitors who react to fur. Neko no Ajito is a rescue cat cafe in Sue, Ayagawa, a few minutes by car from AEON Mall Ayagawa. It opened at the end of July 2026 in a converted former massage shop, taking in the cats of necobokko CAFE in Tadotsu, which closed that March, and its name means "the cats' hideout". The cat area is divided into small semi-private rooms with a playful, ship-like interior. Time with the cats is charged per 30 minutes, and there is a discounted free-time option on weekdays. Preschool children can visit in a private room that families book for themselves.
