The Kit-Tea Café holds the distinction of being Falkirk's first and only cat cafe, operating as a non-profit community interest company with a meaningful focus on mental health support. Located on Cockburn Street, this welcoming space uses animal therapy to help visitors boost their mood and energy through time spent with feline companions. Every cat in residence has been rescued, rehomed, or taken in after being abandoned, reflecting the cafe's strong commitment to cat welfare in Scotland. The team does not support pedigree breeding, believing instead that every cat deserves warmth, comfort, and a loving home. Beyond the calming presence of the cats, the cafe aims to build a positive support network within the local community and combat mental health stigma.
