Opened in May 2017, it takes in vetted, spayed and neutered cats and kittens from four regional rescue organizations and lets them roam freely through the house, where they mix with visitors and with each other while they wait for adoption. It is one of the largest cat cafes in the country by floor space and usually has a large number of cats in residence, including a dedicated kitten room. Visitors pay a low admission fee, with a reduced rate for young children, which gives all-day access, and no appointment is needed. The house also has the Catique Boutique, selling vintage and new cat-themed items alongside work by local artists, and a kitten cam online.

Fairmont, West Virginia

Mugs ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​‌​​​‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌​‌‌​‌​‌​⁠'N Mittens is a cat cafe on Fairmont Avenue in Fairmont, opened in 2023 by Marion County residents Morgan and Keith. Visitors enter through the cafe side, where they can order a drink and pay for entry to the separate cat lounge. The lounge is home to eight permanent resident cats along with adoptable foster cats, placed with help from the Marion County Humane Society and other local partners. No appointment is needed and there is no minimum age. The menu includes boba and fruit teas, hot and iced coffee, coffee floats, chai and matcha lattes, milkshakes and smoothies, and each resident cat has its own signature drink. Cat treats are sold for guests to share. A gift shop stocks jewelry, art prints, freeze-dried sweets and other cat-themed goods made by local makers, and the cafe holds game nights, kitten sessions, birthday parties and other events.

Charleston, West Virginia

Cups ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​‌‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​⁠& Cats Cafe is a cat cafe on Summers Street in downtown Charleston, a few blocks from the Kanawha River. Founded by local cat lover Lora Reynolds, it combines a coffee shop serving lattes, cappuccinos, chai, hot chocolate and other specialty drinks with a separate cat lounge where adoptable cats roam free. The cafe acts as a foster home for cats from local rescue partners, including the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Society, and more than 100 cats have been adopted through it. Visitors pay a fee to spend time in the lounge, which can be booked online, or can stay on the cafe side and watch the cats through the glass. A few resident cats, such as Mr. Thumbs, also live at the cafe. The fee helps cover the cats' care while they wait for adoption.
