Ailuro Cat Café

Ailuro Cat Café is an adoption cat cafe on Rúa Emilia Pardo Bazán in the Sárdoma district of Vigo. Opened in January 2024 as the city's first cat cafe, it is run by a small youth cooperative and works as a foster home for the local rescue group Gatiños da Rúa, so every cat in the cafe is looking for a family. The cats roam freely around a lounge with books and board games, and visitors pay a per-person entry fee that includes a first drink, with coffee, cheesecake and snacks available. There is no booking: entry is first come, first served, with members given priority and capacity kept low. Children under six are not admitted, and under-14s need one adult each. Adoptions take several visits to find the right match. The cafe also hosts cat yoga, film nights and craft workshops.
