Tiệm Mèo Đọc Sách Cafe
Hanoi
Tiệm Mèo Đọc Sách Cafe is a cat and book cafe at 5 Ngõ 12 Phan Văn Trường in Cầu Giấy, Hanoi, a short walk from the Nhà Xanh market in Dịch Vọng Hậu. It was opened by the team behind Meowbook, the cat and book cafe on Tây Sơn, and a sizeable group of resident cats roams its three narrow floors. Some are happy to curl up beside guests, while others keep their distance, especially when the cafe is busy. There is no entrance fee: visitors order a drink, from coffee and tea to juices, and can stay as long as they like. The second floor is lined with bookshelves, and the cafe also has board games and ceramic figurine painting. The vintage-style rooms are popular with students who come to study or work, so seating gets tight at peak times, and motorbike parking in the lane is limited.
Goodmeo Cafe & Meow
Hanoi
Goodmeo Cafe & Meow is a cat cafe in a villa at BT05, lane 16B1 of the Làng Việt kiều Châu Âu estate in Mộ Lao, Hà Đông, Hanoi. Its resident cats cover several breeds, from fluffy longhairs to some notably plump and haughty characters, and each one has a name card with a short profile so visitors can tell them apart. Staff ask guests to sanitise their hands before touching the cats and provide lint rollers for clothes afterwards. Most of the cats spend their time in the play area on the second floor, while the ground floor offers quieter seating for guests who just want a drink. The menu covers coffee, tea and other drinks with a short list of snacks. Many of the cats are relaxed enough to nap on handbags and laps, though some do not like being held. The cafe opens daily from 9 AM.
Tiệm Cà Phê Mèo JennyMiaw 2
Hanoi
Tiệm Cà Phê Mèo JennyMiaw 2 is the second branch of the JennyMiaw cat cafe, at 86 Phố Nguyễn Ngọc Nại in Phương Liệt, Hanoi, in the former Thanh Xuân district. Like the original on Đường Láng, it runs on a single ticket: 85,000 VND per person, or 75,000 VND for children under 12, covers time with the cats plus an unlimited buffet of drinks and snacks for up to three hours. The JennyMiaw cats are mostly pedigree breeds, including British Shorthairs and Longhairs, Ragdolls, Munchkins, Bengals, Maine Coons, Siamese and golden British cats. They are clean, well groomed and generally affectionate, happy to let guests rest a head on them, but they do not like being picked up and tend to doze in the afternoon. The branch is spacious and pleasantly scented, and staff step in firmly when children handle the cats roughly.
Oleoleo Coffee & Cats Nguyễn Chí Thanh
Hanoi
Oleoleo Coffee & Cats is the Nguyễn Chí Thanh branch of the Oleoleo cat cafe group, in building 5T2 off Ngõ 62 Nguyễn Chí Thanh in Láng, Đống Đa, Hanoi. The owners describe it as a place for cats, plants and figurine painting, and the air-conditioned room is filled with greenery and scented with incense. Its resident cats are famously round and well fed, among them a lazy hairless cat alongside several fluffy ones, and staff carry cats over to guests and keep a close eye on them. Visits are priced by the drink, and drinks cost slightly more than at an ordinary cafe. Books, board games and plaster statue painting keep visitors busy, and the quiet room is popular with students working on laptops. The cafe opens daily from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and its sister cafes are on Trúc Bạch and in Xuân La.
Oleoleo Coffee Books & Cats Xuân La
Hanoi
Oleoleo Coffee Books & Cats Xuân La is a branch of the Oleoleo cat and book cafe group, on a quiet lane at 14/76 Ngõ 28 Xuân La in Tây Hồ, Hanoi. About ten resident cats live in the three-storey house, most of them on the second floor, and some areas are kept cat-free for guests who prefer to just sit. There is no entrance fee: visitors order a drink and can stay with the cats and the bookshelves for as long as they like. The cats are chubby, well groomed and friendly, though a few are shy. The cafe has no age limit and asks parents to show children how to handle the cats gently, visitors' own cats are not allowed in, and guests ring the doorbell on arrival so staff know they are there. It opens daily from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM.
Meowtopia Cafe
Hanoi
Meowtopia Cafe is a cat and aquarium cafe at 10 Phố Sa Đôi in Đại Mỗ, Nam Từ Liêm, Hanoi, in a row of low-rise townhouses on the main road. It opened as Meowtopia Aquaria & Cat Cafe, and its fish tanks share the room with more than 30 resident cats of many breeds that wander freely among the tables, rush over whenever food appears and like to sit in guests' slippers. Entry works on a combo of a drink plus a ticket to play with the cats, and children over two pay the same combo as adults. The cafe is roomy, with a large play area and photo corners. The business is also a pet care centre, running a cat hotel and a bathing and grooming spa for dogs and cats, and it opens daily from 9 AM to 10 PM.
Katty Coffee
Hanoi
Katty Coffee is a pet cafe at 61 Phố Nguyễn Bá Khoản in Yên Hòa, Cầu Giấy, Hanoi, where visitors share the room with a large group of resident cats along with a few dogs and rabbits. The cats are chubby, soft-coated and well cared for, and the cafe is known for its detailed rules: staff explain how to approach the animals when guests arrive, and the cats keep a set timetable for receiving visitors, with rest periods in between. Drinks and light snacks are served, and families with children are frequent visitors, though the room can feel cramped and warm when it is busy. Katty used to be on Phạm Huy Thông by Ngọc Khánh lake before settling at its current address. Besides the cafe, the business runs a pet hotel and a grooming spa for dogs and cats. It opens daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Bastet's Home Hà Đông
Hanoi
Bastet's Home is a long-running cat cafe at 34 Phố Trưng Nhị, just off Nguyễn Trãi in Hà Đông, Hanoi, with a sister branch in Đống Đa. A large group of cats of many breeds lives in the small, busy cafe, and most are gentle and affectionate, happy to fall asleep on visitors' laps. There is no entry ticket; instead each guest is asked to order at least one drink, and inexpensive cat treats are sold for feeding the cats. Prices are low by cat cafe standards, and the menu goes beyond coffee to milk teas, cocoa and cheese-foam drinks, plus snacks such as fried spring rolls, garlic dried pork and shaken chicken. The interior has several photo corners, but seating and motorbike parking are limited, so the cafe gets crowded at weekends. It opens daily from 9 AM to 10:30 PM.
Quán Kẻ Cót
Hanoi
Quán Kẻ Cót is a traditional tea and coffee house with resident cats, at 17 Ngõ 113 Phố Yên Hòa in Cầu Giấy, Hanoi. It occupies the green front yard and rooms of the owners' family house, furnished rustically with wooden tables, brick walls and calligraphy, and it bills itself as a place for tea, coffee and art. Many of the cats were taken in by the owner from people who could no longer keep them. They are healthy, sleek and lively, roam freely between the garden and the tables, and are not made to entertain guests. There is no entrance fee: guests buy a drink to pet the cats, and cat food is sold cheaply for feeding them. The menu is simple and inexpensive, with pink milk tea, cocoa with pearls, avocado smoothies and bánh mì que. There is a TV room upstairs.
SIPPAWS Coffee
Hanoi
SIPPAWS Coffee is a small cat cafe at 17 Ngõ 29 Phố Khương Hạ in Khương Đình, in the former Thanh Xuân district of Hanoi, which has drawn crowds through its TikTok videos. A group of resident cats lives in the cafe, wandering among the tables or sleeping under the chairs, among them a ginger cat with a chronic sinus condition that staff are happy to explain to visitors. Guests order from a menu of coffee, cold brew and fruit and yogurt drinks at ordinary cafe prices, and the cafe has an instant photo printing booth. A sign asks visitors not to pick up the cats, and staff warn when one is grumpy. The cosy room is small and can feel cramped and warm at busy times, and some visitors have been disappointed to find only one or two cats awake when they arrived.
Neko Cha
Ho Chi Minh City
Neko Cha is a matcha and cat cafe on Đường Số 1 in the Him Lam residential area of Tân Hưng, in the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. Opened in 2026, it pairs a Kyoto-inspired drinks bar with an air-conditioned cat room whose residents range from young kittens of around three months to grown cats. Time with the cats is sold as a play pass of 79,000 VND for two hours, and drinks are ordered separately at roughly 20,000 to 70,000 VND. The menu centres on hand-whisked matcha and houjicha lattes, Vietnamese phin coffee and cold brew steeped for 24 hours, with wagashi sweets at the counter, and everything can also be taken away. Out front is a small gravel courtyard. The cafe opens at 7 a.m. (8 a.m. on Sundays), and the owners say early mornings are the quietest time to visit.
Jubie Catering & Cats
Ho Chi Minh City
Jubie Catering & Cats is a restaurant, cafe and cat lounge at the Dragon Hill 1 apartments on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ in Phước Kiển, Nhà Bè, south of the former District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. The dining room serves home-style Vietnamese plates such as braised pork with lemongrass, beef stew and fried fish in sweet and sour sauce, plus coffee, juices and cocktails. The cats live in a separate lounge behind glass, so diners can watch them from their tables, and time in the lounge is charged separately from food and drinks. Children under 12 are not admitted to the lounge. The cats are clean and calm, and the owner knows which ones like to be cuddled and which prefer to be left alone. The same team runs Aurum Jubilee Cattery, a pedigree breeding cattery that shows its cats at WCF cat shows.
