Cats & Friends
Tashkent
Cats & Friends is a cat cafe in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent, in the 3rd quarter next to the city prosecutor's office, a short walk from Novza metro station. Opened in February 2024 as the first cat cafe in Uzbekistan, it moved from Akkurgan Street in Mirzo Ulugbek district to a larger space here in May 2026. More than 20 cats live in the cafe, most of them from the Milye Koshki shelter, and many are waiting for new homes; the cafe also runs a monthly virtual adoption scheme. It works as an anticafe, so visitors pay for their time rather than for food, and entry includes unlimited tea and coffee, board games, books, a PlayStation and Wi-Fi. Staff explain the rules to new guests, cats are not to be picked up, and young children must come with an adult. A small shop sells cat-themed souvenirs. Open daily.

Happy Cats
Tashkent
Happy Cats is a cat cafe in the Chilanzar 14th quarter of Uchtepa district in western Tashkent, on the first floor of a building near the Chapan-Ata stop. Opened in 2024, it is run by an owner who rescues cats herself, and around 25 to 30 cats live here. Visitors can hear the story of each cat and buy treats to feed them. Guests are given shoe covers and hand sanitizer on arrival and a lint roller on the way out. The cafe has also offered board games, books and drawing, and has hosted small cat shows. Cats that came from shelters can be adopted under an agreement with the cafe. Visits are by appointment, booked by phone.

Murki
Samarkand
Murki is a cat cafe on Gagarin Street in Samarkand, set in a basement space west of the city centre. Opened in 2025 and presented as the first cat cafe in the city, it combines a coffee shop with a small cinema room where guests can pick a film to watch, while several resident cats and kittens wander among the sofas and armchairs. Coffee, lemonades, cocktails and desserts are ordered from the menu, and there are board games and a corner for children. The cafe suits a quiet evening, working on a laptop or a family outing, and it stays open from the morning until the early hours every day.
Cat Cafe
Bukhara
Cat Cafe is a cat cafe in Bukhara's 5th microdistrict, on the second floor of a building on Piri Dastgir Street, in the newer part of the city south of the old town. Opened in 2025, it is home to rescued cats and combines time with the cats with coffee and games, presenting itself as a place for relaxation and stress relief. Visitors can sit with the cats, pet and play with them in a calm, clean room, and the staff wipe the cats down every few days rather than bathing them. The cafe also runs art masterclasses, a loyalty card and charity drives for animals, and offers cat boarding as a cat hotel. Open daily from morning until late evening.
Check each cafe's website for current hours, booking requirements and age restrictions before visiting.
