Ukiha Neko Cafe 28〇 (Nyao) is a cat cafe in Yoshii, Ukiha, in a converted building with a bright orange exterior, about 12 minutes on foot from JR Chikugo-Yoshii Station and 10 minutes by car from the Asakura interchange of the Oita Expressway. Around 17 to 18 cats live here, ranging from rescued cats to purebreds, with a large cat tower for climbing. Visitors choose a 30 or 60-minute session in the cat room, which can be extended, and order a drink first to enjoy afterwards in the cafe area, where a counter looks into the cat room. The cafe also sells home-made baked goods and cat-themed goods, and part of the sales supports local community and rescue cat work. Opening days and hours change monthly and are published as a calendar on Instagram and Google, and the cafe holds occasional events for individual cats.
