Dogs&Cats Cafe Tsuki to Taiyo
Uji, Kyoto
Dogs&Cats Cafe Tsuki to Taiyo is a dog and cat cafe in the Kowata area of Uji, about three minutes on foot from Kohata Station on the Keihan Uji Line. Opened in June 2020, it keeps around 40 animals, from small breeds to large dogs, with dogs and cats in separate areas. The cats have included Bengals, Somalis, Munchkins and Exotic Shorthairs, and the flat-faced cats have their own corner. The cat course takes place in a private cat room and is charged per 30 minutes, with 15-minute extensions; it is first come, first served and cannot be booked by phone. Dog sessions and a combined 90-minute dog-and-cat course can be reserved by phone, and weekend waits can be long. Shoes come off at the entrance and socks are required. The shop also sells kittens and runs a grooming salon, and there is a car park on site.
