มักแมวคาเฟ่
Nakhon Ratchasima
Mak Maeo Cafe is a newer cat cafe on Soi 3 in Hua Thale, a short distance from Huanom Cathub in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). The spacious, air-conditioned room is clean, nicely decorated and free of smells, with plenty of seating and more than 20 friendly cats, most of them from one extended family. There is no entry fee: each visitor orders one drink, and socks must be worn inside, so bring your own or buy a pair for 20 baht, which helps pay for the cats' food. Lickable cat treats cost 25 baht and are guaranteed to draw a crowd. The menu covers coffee, tea and other drinks, plus cakes and snacks, with the panna cotta a particular favourite. Parking is available right in front of the shop, making it an easy stop for families and for visitors passing through Korat.
ก้อยกาแฟสด สาขาหนองกระทุ่ม
Nakhon Ratchasima
This branch of the Koi Kafae Sot coffee shop in Nong Krathum, on the northern side of Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) city, doubles as a quiet neighbourhood cat cafe. The bright, minimalist room is shared with around six resident cats, mostly pedigree breeds, who wander between the tables or doze on the seats while customers eat and drink. Cat food is sold at the counter if you would like to feed them. The kitchen serves a wider menu than most cat cafes, with Thai dishes alongside Western plates such as pork steak and spaghetti carbonara, plus coffee, tea and a long list of other drinks, all at modest prices and with options for children. It is generally calm on weekdays, which makes it a good place to read or work with a cat nearby. Parking is on the street opposite the shop.
Mawmuek Khao Yai
Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima
Mawmuek is a riverside cafe on Mittraphap Road in Pak Chong, the gateway town to Khao Yai, with a separate air-conditioned cat room. Shaded seating overlooks the water, and there is a small playground where children can play. The cat room is home to many friendly, fluffy cats of various breeds and costs 89 baht per person on top of the cafe's one-order-per-person minimum; cat treats can be bought to feed them. House rules are strict to protect the animals: no running, jumping, shouting or picking up the cats, and children must be at least 120 cm tall to enter the cat room. The menu covers coffee, tea, cakes and desserts, plus snacks and some savoury dishes when the kitchen is open. Parking is limited at busy times, so weekdays tend to be calmer.
Cat Story
Surin
Cat Story is a small cat cafe on Thetsaban 1 Road in the centre of Surin, opposite the English Program building of Sirindhorn School. Billed as a cafe for cat lovers, it has a good number of plump, friendly resident cats who share the clean, compact space with visitors, so you can relax with a drink while they wander around you or settle in for a nap nearby. Regulars say the drinks are tasty and good value for money. The shop also sells a changing selection of cute collectibles, including squishy toys and character figures such as Fuggler and Hello Kitty, which makes it a fun stop for children and collectors as well as cat fans. It is one of very few places in Surin town where you can sit down and spend time with cats, and it is easy to reach on foot from the town centre.
Snoopcat Cafe
Ubon Ratchathani
Snoopcat Cafe is a two-storey cafe on Sappasit Road in the heart of Ubon Ratchathani, next to Wat Pathumalai and opposite Ubon Wittayakhom School. The ground floor is a regular cafe, good for working or meeting friends, so anyone who is allergic to cats or simply not keen can stay downstairs. Upstairs is the cat zone, open from midday, where a mix of breeds, including a very sociable Sphynx, roam freely and often settle on laps. Access to the cats costs 50 baht or the purchase of a drink. The menu is broad for a cat cafe: coffee and non-coffee drinks, Italian sodas, smoothies, cakes, Thai-style Tokyo pancakes and roti, plus breakfast and simple lunch dishes at affordable prices. The staff are friendly, the space is clean and free of smells, and free parking is available.
Meow Time Cafe
Udon Thani
Meow Time Cafe is a cat cafe in Mak Khaeng, central Udon Thani, that bills itself as a relaxed, homely place to hang out with cats. The cats live in a separate air-conditioned room with a wide variety of breeds, from fluffy longhairs to a much-loved orange cat, and most are affectionate enough to come straight to you. Entry is 99 baht for adults and 79 baht for students, which includes a drink and a pair of socks to wear in the cat room, and the cafe sometimes runs midweek promotions. The cat room has no tables, so expect to sit on the floor among the cats, while cold drinks, milk-based specials and baked snacks are served outside. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the space can also be booked for small parties and gatherings.
Catnergy Café & Space
Udon Thani
Catnergy Café & Space is a cat cafe and co-working space on Si Chom Chuen Road in central Udon Thani, behind Udon Pittayanukul School and next to the Yamaha music school. The two-storey shop has a calm, minimalist interior designed for working or reading, with resident cats, all well fed and friendly, wandering among the tables and coming over to say hello, especially if they spot a lickable treat. Drinks start at around 65 baht, and the cafe is known for its desserts, including cheesecake and fresh-fruit creations, alongside coffee, tea and other drinks. The atmosphere is quiet and the room smells fresh, which makes it a good choice if you want to get some work done with a cat nearby rather than visit a busy play room. Students from the nearby schools often drop in after class.
Pet's Cafe Udonthani
Udon Thani
Pet's Cafe Udonthani is a multi-storey cafe on Srisuk Road in Mak Khaeng, central Udon Thani, that combines a full restaurant with cat rooms upstairs. The ground floor serves a long menu of Thai rice dishes, snacks and drinks at good prices, which makes it a popular stop for students and families. The cats live on the upper floors, where visitors can play with a large group of big, well-fed and friendly cats. The rooms open in sessions and not every floor is open to visitors at all times, so ask at the counter what is available when you arrive. Staff look after the cats carefully and have clear rules in place for their wellbeing. Food can take a while to arrive at busy times, so it is worth ordering before you head upstairs to see the cats.
Cat a Dog Cafe by Groomer House
Udon Thani
Cat a Dog Cafe is the cafe side of Groomer House, a pet grooming and boarding business on Atsawamit Road in Ban Lueam, Udon Thani. Visitors can order coffee and other drinks and spend time with the resident animals: a friendly group of cats, mostly Scottish Folds and Thai tabbies plus a Maine Coon, in a clean cat room with no odour, and a few large, vocal Siberian Huskies. Staff explain how to give treats to the dogs and are happy to chat about the animals. Alongside the cafe, Groomer House offers cat and dog grooming, a pet hotel, a dog swimming pool and a shop selling food and accessories, so it is primarily a pet-care business with a cafe and play area attached. It is a relaxed, family-friendly stop for animal lovers in the west of the city.
Catfé Buriram
Buri Ram
Catfé Buriram is a small, cosy cat cafe in the centre of Buri Ram town, next to the Heng Prasert fruit shop near Sala Loi. Entry is free, and visitors can play with and photograph the cats for as long as they like. The cafe is home to a large and varied family of around 40 cats of all shapes and sizes, and it also raises money for the care of stray and sick cats, inviting customers to chip in towards the cats' next meal. The menu includes coffee and other drinks, bakery items and homemade cakes, and drinks can also be ordered for delivery through GrabFood. It is a laid-back place to sit with a coffee while the cats wander around, and parking is along the roadside just past the shop. Staff are friendly and the cats are used to visitors.
4 Legs in Love Cat Cafe
Buri Ram
4 Legs in Love is a cat cafe and restaurant in the town centre of Buri Ram, billed locally as the city's first cat cafe. Its cat room holds a dozen or so friendly, well-behaved cats of various breeds who readily settle on visitors' laps. Entry to the cat room costs 99 baht including a drink, ice cream or smoothie, and a 150-baht option adds feeding the cafe's other animals; you can step out to finish your drink and go back in again. Guests wash their hands before entering, and parents should keep a close eye on young children around the cats. The menu covers coffee, cocoa, desserts and lunch dishes, and the shop has plenty of photo corners. Staff are friendly and happy to explain how everything works on a first visit.
Loading Matcha Cafe
Khon Kaen
Loading Matcha Cafe is a two-storey matcha cafe in the north of Khon Kaen city that doubles as a cat cafe. The ground floor is a quiet workspace with plenty of power outlets and Wi-Fi, popular with students reading and working into the night. The second floor is the cat floor, where a group of plump, affectionate, well-groomed cats nap among the seating and like to climb into bags; you can stroke them, but picking them up is not allowed. The upstairs room is kept clean and fresh, and there are cabinets where you can leave your drink so the cats don't knock it over. The menu focuses on matcha and hojicha in several grades, plus Thai tea, coffee and fairly sweet desserts, and you can even decorate your own glass.
Check each cafe's website for current hours, booking requirements and age restrictions before visiting.
