More than 20 young pedigree cats of many breeds live here, including Ragdolls, each with its own personality, and the room has toys and cat towers. Visits are charged by time from 30 minutes with an all-you-can-drink drink bar, and there is a free-time plan that allows re-entry after a break. Cat treats can be bought, which tends to draw a crowd of cats. Being inside a shopping mall, it is popular with families, and part of the room can be seen from the mall through a glass wall. The cafe is open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM, with last entry at 8:30 PM.
Neko no Shippo
Takaoka, Toyama
Neko no Shippo is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Otsubomachi, Takaoka, about 10 minutes on foot from the Hirokoji stop on the Manyosen tram line. It opened with five rescued cats from a partner group in Joetsu and now cares for about 25 cats, all looked after by the owner, who takes time to match each cat with a family that will keep it for life. The cats are split between three rooms according to how well they get along. Visits are charged per hour with one drink included and 10-minute extensions, with lower rates for elementary school children, and treats can be bought. Children under junior high school age must come with a guardian, and socks are required. The cafe closes on Mondays and Tuesdays except public holidays, last entry is at 5:30 PM, and there is parking for five cars.
