Mao ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​​​​‌‌​​‌​‌​​​‌‌‌​‌​‌​​‌‌‌⁠Jiu is a small tea and drinks bar at the west gate of the Yulangqiaobang creative park, a former pharmaceutical factory in Gusu, Suzhou, that was formerly called Dobe Gusu WE and now markets itself as pet friendly. Rescued stray cats live in the shop while they wait for new homes, and the owners post the cats available for adoption online. Visitors can order tea or drinks and spend time with the cats.

Mao ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌​​‌‌‌‌​‌​‌‌‌​‌​​‌​‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌⁠Shi'er is a cat cafe in an old house on Pingjiang Road, the canal-side historic street in Gusu, Suzhou, near Xiangmen station on Metro Line 1. Cats often lie on the tiled eaves above the street, drawing passers-by. Visitors order drinks on the ground floor, put on shoe covers and go up to the spacious second floor, where 40 to 50 cats of many breeds, mostly adults, roam freely. The cafe belongs to a small chain with branches in old towns around Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuxi.

This ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​​​​​​‌‌​⁠newer branch of Mao Shi'er, the cat cafe on Pingjiang Road, is on Bifengfang lane just off Guanqian Street in central Gusu, Suzhou. Two cats greet visitors on the ground floor, and a staircase leads up to a large, open and bright second floor where the rest of the cats wander between the tables and climb onto visitors.

Wu ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌‌​​​​‌‌‌‌​​‌​​‌‌‌​​​‌​‌​‌​​‌⁠Jia is a small teahouse in Gaojingtou lane off Jingde Road in Gusu, Suzhou, near the Shilu shopping area. It has semi-private rooms with curtains and air conditioning, and serves pots of tea with traditional snacks such as preserved plums, melon seeds, peanut brittle and longans. Resident cats wander through the teahouse, and cat treats and wands are provided for guests. Moxa is burned to keep mosquitoes away.

Around 25 cats live in the room, decorated with plants, and staff introduce each cat's name and character. Visitors receive shoe covers and hand sanitiser at the door and can leave bags at the counter for free.

Visitors can pet the cats while playing board games, and visits can last several hours.

Honey ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​​​​‌​‌​‌‌​​​‌​​​‌‌​​‌​‌‌​​‌‌‌⁠Kitty is a pink-themed cat cafe on Guanxiang lane near Guanqian Street in Gusu, Suzhou. The cats are of many breeds, including Ragdolls, British Shorthairs and American Shorthairs. A visit includes a drink, board games and time with the cats, and the cafe also offers bead-art crafts.

Visitors can spend time with both cats and dogs and rent kimonos and other costumes for photos. After 8 PM part of the space runs as a bar.

The room is simply decorated, clean and free of smells, and the cats include some well-fed, fluffy residents.
