Semarang, Central Java

Lamiao Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on Jalan Kusuma Wardani in Pleburan, South Semarang, near Simpang Lima. It opened in May 2023 next to the Lamiao pet shop and cat hotel. Around 18 resident cats of several breeds, including Persians, wander the tiled dining room, climb a large cat tree in the middle and retreat to a glass-walled cat room that guests may also step into. Shoes are swapped for house slippers at the entrance, and the rules ask visitors not to pick up or feed the cats, wake sleeping cats or pull tails. The menu has cat-themed names and covers coffee, chocolate and milk drinks, cakes, snacks, noodles, pasta and rice dishes. The cafe is popular with families, students and office workers and opens daily from 9 AM to 10 PM; reservations are taken through its Instagram profile.
