Pebbles Kitty Cat Café

Pebbles Kitty Cat Café is a cat cafe on Hoogstraat in central Rotterdam, about five minutes on foot from Oostplein metro and tram stop. Open since September 2016, it was the city's first cat cafe and is home to nine resident cats, among them Giny, Luna, Roffa, Misty, Shade and the sisters Matcha and Taro, who were found as kittens in the Rotterdam port. Since 2021 it has worked with Pameijer, whose clients help in the kitchen, at the tables and with the cats. Each guest, children included, pays a small cat contribution and orders from a menu of coffee, tea, cakes, toasties and sandwiches with vegan options. Visits run in 1.5-hour slots, and booking is recommended, especially at weekends and in school holidays. Guests enter through a double-door airlock and may not feed the cats. Board games are available, and the cafe holds workshops and events.
