Cat Cafes in Rennes, Brittany

Rennes, Brittany

Le ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Chat Puccino is a bar à chats and tea room on Rue des Francs Bourgeois in Rennes city centre, close to Place Saint-Germain and the Vilaine quays, a short walk from République métro station. Opened in July 2016 after a crowdfunding campaign, it was the first cat cafe in Brittany. Five permanent resident cats, including Maine Coons, live there alongside cats placed for adoption, and they roam freely among the armchairs and sofas. Visitors order from a menu of teas, coffees and hot chocolates, waffles, cakes, muffins and banana splits, with vegetarian options. Cats approach visitors when they choose to, and house rules are posted for guests. It can be busy on Saturdays, when tables fill quickly.
