Fureai Room TERANCH
Omuta, Fukuoka
Fureai Room TERANCH is a rescue cat interaction and adoption room in Kunugi, Omuta, on the grounds of Tokushoji temple. It is run by Sumineko, an Omuta volunteer group formed to rescue cats from multi-cat hoarding cases, and is described as a place to meet rescued cats and talk about adoption rather than a cat cafe. There is no entry or time charge; the room relies on donations left in a box at the entrance, which pay for food, litter, veterinary care and trap-neuter-return work. Visits are by reservation through Instagram direct message or the official LINE account, usually in the afternoon, and the opening days are published each month. People considering adoption are given priority. Visitors must wear socks, avoid strong perfume and stay calm around the cats. A small handmade goods shop operates next door.
