La ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​​​​​​‌​​‌​‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​​​​​‌‌‌​‌⁠Gatoría Cat Café, which also calls itself La Casa de los Gatos Felices, is a cat cafe in a house on Carrera 80C in Las Acacias, Laureles, in western Medellín. Rescued cats roam freely among the tables, shelves of books and the outdoor seating, and the cafe works as a refuge where cats stay until they have recovered and can be adopted. The menu is entirely vegetarian, with coffee, milkshakes, lunches, cakes and desserts, so that the cats are not tempted by meat. Visits are by reservation only, children must be over 10, and staff explain the house rules before guests go in: no feeding the cats and no waking them. There is a minimum charge per visitor. The cafe has a small shop of cat merchandise and holds occasional cat yoga mornings to raise money for the cats.

Café ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌​‌‌​​‌‌​​​​‌​‌‌‌​​‌‌​​‌‌‌​‌​‌​⁠Fundación is a rescue cafe for dogs and cats in Bolivariana, Laureles, in western Medellín, on Transversal 41 near the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana campus. It is run by an animal rescue foundation, and the cafe's sales fund the rescue, care and responsible adoption of the animals it shelters. Visitors can order coffee, lunches and desserts and then spend time with adoptable cats in dedicated cat rooms, or take the rescued dogs for a walk. The animals are sociable and used to visitors, and adoption is encouraged but not required to visit. The cafe has wifi and power sockets for remote work, sells coffee to take away and pet food and supplies, and also offers dog daycare, pet baths and occasional bazaars. It is closed on Mondays.

MeCATiadero ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌‌​‌​​​⁠Con Pasión is a cat cafe run by Fundación Con Pasión Animal, a Medellín rescue that has taken in more than 1,000 cats since 2014 and places around 200 in new homes each year. It is in a house in the Alameda area of Belén, in south-western Medellín, and opens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Visitors order coffee, milkshakes, pandebono waffles and other snacks and spend time with the foundation's rescued cats, all of which are looking for adoptive or sponsoring families. The cafe is staffed by volunteers, and all profits pay for the protected cats' upkeep. Part of the house is a recovery room for sick cats, which visitors may see. Adoptions and sponsorships are arranged through the foundation.
