Whisker Station Cat Cafe and Lounge

Whisker Station Cat Cafe and Lounge is a cat lounge on North Kirkwood Road in downtown Kirkwood, a St. Louis suburb, a short walk from the Kirkwood Amtrak station. It was started by Sara, a longtime cat fosterer whose daughter works there with her. All the cats come from Heartland Humane Society of Missouri, a foster-based rescue serving the St. Louis area, and more than a dozen are often in the lounge at once. Visitors pay by the hour to relax and play with the cats and can buy light snacks and drinks. Reservations are strongly encouraged, walk-ins are taken when there is room, and every guest signs a waiver. Children 6 and under can visit during a Guardian & Me hour at the start of each day. Visitors who bond with a cat can apply to adopt. Weekly cat yoga and private parties are also offered.
