Betina Cat Café is a cat cafe in the CLN 409 commercial block of Asa Norte, Brasília. Opened in July 2022, it was the first cat cafe in the Distrito Federal and is named after Betina, the owners' cat. The cafe area is open to everyone, while time with the cats, which the cafe calls gatoterapia, takes place in a separate room and is charged in 10-minute blocks, with the fee going to the cats' care. A short treat-feeding session is also offered. All the cats are rescues, neutered and vaccinated, and they can be adopted through an application form; the cafe also hosts weekend adoption fairs with partner rescuers. The cat-themed menu includes filter coffee, empanadas, pão de queijo and sweets, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. There is a cat shop with items for cats and their owners, and the team also offers cat-sitting.
