SPACE CAT Coffee

SPACE CAT Coffee is a cat cafe in a converted house on Rua Doutor Generoso Borges in Batel, Curitiba. It opened in Mercês in February 2022 as the first cat cafe in southern Brazil and later moved to its current address in Batel. The cafe has a space theme, with planets and stars in the decor and drinks named after planets. The cats live in a separate cat area, and visitors pay a per-person fee to go in, which covers the cats' food and care. Some cats are permanent residents and others are rescues in foster care waiting for adoption. The menu is fully plant-based, with specialty coffee, hot chocolate, iced drinks, sandwiches, smash burgers, cakes and cookies, and food can take around half an hour at busy times. The cafe is open every day, including public holidays.
