Yuzawa Catwork Cafe

Yuzawa Catwork Cafe sits in the shopping arcade just a three-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station in Niigata, Japan. Opened in July 2025 by Taiwanese owners, this compact and intentional space blends a productive remote-work café with a dedicated cat interaction zone, where five resident cats named Sora, Sumi, Mochi, Inu, and a fifth companion roam freely. Guests can settle into table seats, counter seats, or the bench seating closest to the cats, with high-speed fibre Wi-Fi and power outlets at every seat. The drinks menu features specialty coffee, tea, juice, and soft drinks, and a curated manga library offers a screen-free break. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the surrounding mountains, making it an inspiring backdrop for an afternoon of focused work between ski runs and bullet train rides.
