Yafeng Music Cat Cafe

This location has permanently closed.

Yafeng ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Music Cat Cafe (雅風音樂貓咪中途咖啡廳) was a cat foster cafe in a lane off Muxin Road, Section 3, in Muzha, Wenshan District, Taipei, near Zhongshun Temple. Violinist Lin Hsin-yi opened it in December 2012 in a space first used as a band rehearsal room, combining music, coffee and rescue cats. It was run by the Yafeng Wangmiao stray animal care association she founded, whose foster and elderly-care homes held around 50 cats. Visits were by reservation; guests ordered drinks and spent time with cats waiting for adoption, and many of the cats were rehomed through the cafe. House rules included keeping drinks against the wall, putting phones and tablets away, and asking staff to open the door so cats could not slip out. The cafe has since closed, and the association continues its rescue work.
