Chatperlipopette Café is a cat cafe and tea room on Rue de Lausanne in Strasbourg's Krutenau quarter, a short walk from Place d'Austerlitz. Opened in December 2016 by Nathalie Berlot, it is the longest-running cat cafe in the city. A large group of cats lives in the jungle-themed room, along with a couple of small dogs, and the menu introduces each cat by name and temperament so visitors can recognise them. Guests ring the bell to enter and disinfect their hands at the door, then settle in with coffee, tea, milkshakes, crêpes, waffles or a light lunch while the cats move freely between the tables. The cafe is open Tuesday to Saturday afternoons, with a longer day on Wednesdays, and the owner and volunteers are happy to share the stories of the individual cats.

Le Cat-Quart is the first cat cafe in Haguenau, a brunch and coffee shop on Rue de la Torture in the town centre, about 30 km north of Strasbourg. It opened in June 2025 and serves homemade brunch dishes, grilled cheese, granola bowls, cookies and seasonal drinks, with gluten-free and vegan options. The cafe is a foster home for three local rescues, the Ecole du chat libre des Vosges du Nord in Niederbronn, the SPA de Haguenau and Les Bitcherkatz of Bitche, and the cats in the room are up for adoption through those associations; more than 40 have found homes so far. Two resident cats, Cachou and Pitchou, stay on as mascots. Visitors disinfect their hands on arrival, let the cats come to them, keep children seated and do not share food. Table booking is available online, and the kitchen closes at 2 PM.

Mon Chat Pitre Colmar is a general bookshop with resident cats on Place Sainte-Catherine in Colmar's old town. Opened in May 2025 by Caroline Picard, it is the first franchise of the Mon Chat Pitre 'ronron-librairie' concept that started in Aix-en-Provence. About seven rescued cats, adopted from the Pattes de Velours refuge and the SPA in Mulhouse and from an association in Aix, live in the shop and roam freely among the shelves, with baskets, toys and an overhead walkway where they can retreat from visitors. The cats are permanent residents and are not up for adoption. Entry is free; the shop stocks some 6,000 titles, including novels, comics, children's books and a cosy mystery section, along with stationery and cat-themed gifts.

Oh My Cat! Coffee is a cat cafe on Rue des Fleurs in central Mulhouse, a few minutes on foot from Place de la Réunion and the République tram stop. Opened in March 2025, it was the first cat cafe in the Haut-Rhin. Five resident cats live in the tea room, including Woody, a black and white cat with short front legs, Barney the cream Persian, Phoebe the lilac British Shorthair, young Joey and the tortoiseshell Elf; they are the cafe's own cats rather than adoptable. Visitors pay a small entry contribution towards the cats' care on top of a required order, and visits are limited to two hours. Children are welcome from age eight. Pattes et Pages is a cat cafe, tea room and second-hand bookshop in the centre of Remiremont, in the southern Vosges. Opened at the start of 2026, it is run by volunteers of the cat rescue association Chat'ouille, and the profits go to the association's work. A few rescued cats live among the bookshelves while they wait for adoption, and the volunteers can also introduce visitors to the cats still at the association's shelter. Visitors can sit with a coffee, tea or homemade cookie, browse and buy used books at low prices, read in the lounge, or donate books to the collection. The space doubles as a small art gallery. Prices are modest and the atmosphere is quiet, and it is open every afternoon except Monday.

Katzentempel Heidelberg is a vegan cat cafe and restaurant in the Bahnstadt district, on Galileistraße across the Czernybrücke and about 10 minutes on foot from Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof. It opened in July 2025 as the first Baden-Württemberg branch of the Katzentempel chain and has around 80 seats over 190 square metres. Six resident rescue cats, all named after Harry Potter characters, roam the dining room and have their own retreat area they can withdraw to whenever they like. There is no entry fee: guests order from the fully plant-based menu of breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, bowls, cakes and drinks, and tables can be reserved online. The cats stay at the cafe and are not for adoption, but visitors can sponsor one monthly or yearly. On weekday mornings a work-friendly flat rate for coffee, tea and water is offered, and Thursday evenings are board game nights.
