The Kaffe Loopie
The Kaffe Loopie is a coffee shop and breakfast cafe on Istiqlaliyyat Street in Baku, at the edge of Icherisheher, the walled Old City, a short walk from Icherisheher metro station. By March 2026 it had taken in a group of cats and kittens from the street, and its TikTok profile describes it as a cafe run by cats. The cats sleep on cushions by the windows and wander among the tables, and an Instagram highlight is given over to them. There is no entry fee; visitors order from the menu, which has all-day breakfasts such as shakshuka, Azerbaijani breakfast and syrniki, specialty coffee, matcha, lemonades and homemade tiramisu, also served as a tiramisu latte. In October 2026 its online menu listed a flat white at AZN 7.60. Staff speak English and Russian, guests may bring their own pets, and the cafe has a chess board and holds crochet workshops on Sundays.

KotoKafe is a coffee shop with a separate cat room on the ground floor of Ulitsa Ilyashenko 3 in Kaspiysk, on the side facing the road, next to the Registratsionnaya Palata stop. Kittens and young cats of several breeds live in the cat room, where visitors can stroke, hold and feed them; the cats are vaccinated and well cared for. Time in the cat room is paid separately and sessions are short, so families with children usually visit for a set period. A shaded courtyard around a century-old tree adds outdoor seating, and the cafe doubles as a coworking spot with vinyl music. Several resident cats, around four, live at the cafe, indoors and in the courtyard; the owners took them in as orphaned kittens and raised them, and toys are left out for them. There is no entry fee, and visitors simply order from the menu. The cafe is open every day from morning until midnight.

Gatto Cat Cafe
Yerevan282 mi / 453 km
Gatto is a cat cafe on Komitas Avenue in Yerevan's Arabkir district, on the basement level a short walk from Barekamutyun metro station. Opened in 2023 as Armenia's first cat cafe, it is built around rescue: none of the cats were bought, and street kittens are treated and vaccinated in a small quarantine room before joining the cat zone or going to new homes through the cafe's adoption program. Most cats are rescued street cats, with a few purebreds such as a Scottish Fold. The front cafe area is free, while the separate cat zone is charged by the hour or minute and capped at the number of cats. Children under 7 are not admitted, and those aged 7 to 12 must come with a parent. The cafe serves specialty coffee, tea, homemade desserts with vegan options, light meals, wine and beer, and hosts events such as cat yoga.
