Sophie Kattencafé brings a cozy living room atmosphere to the heart of Leiden on Haarlemmerstraat, where guests can enjoy quality coffee, homemade cakes, all-day breakfast, and lunch in the company of six resident cats. The feline hosts, including Sena, Chloé, Minos, Noah, Sjors, and Sjimmie, were carefully selected from P&M Cats Care Crete and have found their forever home here. The cafe operates with a double-door airlock system to keep the cats safe, and visitors are asked to sanitize hands upon entry for the animals' wellbeing. A small cat contribution helps maintain a calm environment with fewer tables, giving the cats space to approach guests at their own pace. Guests aged 12 and older are welcome, and the space is wheelchair accessible. Reservations are recommended for 90-minute time slots, and laptop workers will find wifi and power outlets available.
