Paws Café is a unique feline retreat nestled at 8-10 Mardol in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, within the West Midlands of England, proudly holding the distinction of Shropshire’s first cat café since opening its doors on January 17, 2019. This cozy haven, founded by former teacher Katie Fields and production engineer James Radnor, invites guests to enjoy a barista-style menu featuring Lavazza coffee, Teapigs tea, and soft drinks—all included in the time-based entry fee of £6 per person for 30 minutes, with an additional £1 per 5 minutes thereafter—while mingling with 11 resident cats, including Bengals, a Ragdoll, and a Canadian Sphynx. With over 200,000 visitors since its inception, the café offers a chilled-out atmosphere where these well-cared-for felines roam freely among premium cat trees and beds, supported by a licensed bar serving “Pawsecco” and a selection of Cakesmiths treats for humans.
