Nyan Nyan Paradise
Nyan Nyan Paradise is a cat sanctuary in Kamisakuma, Kyonan, in southern Boso, run by the NPO Neko-tachi no Shiawase wo Mamoru Kai next to its World Cat Goods Museum, which displays cat-themed items from 43 countries. More than 40 cats live in the sanctuary, most of them former strays cared for by volunteer staff, and many are looking for adoptive homes; people who cannot adopt can sponsor a cat instead. A combined ticket covers the museum and the cat area, with reduced rates for children and visitors with disabilities, and there is no time limit with the cats during opening hours. Entry is limited to two groups, up to five people, at a time. The nearest station is Awa-Katsuyama on the JR Uchibo Line, about 15 minutes away by taxi, and there is free parking. Since February 2026 it has opened on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
