Nekonos Animal Shelter Chiba Minato-kan
Nekonos Animal Shelter Chiba Minato-kan is a rescue cat cafe in Toiyacho, Chuo Ward, Chiba, in the Chiba-Minato area. It opened in 2023 as the second facility of the Nekonos animal shelter, whose main site is in Togane, and it works as both a shelter and a cafe: cats taken in from the street or surrendered by their owners live here while they wait for new homes. Most of the cats are mixed breeds, from kittens to seniors, and cats that are not adopted stay on as resident cats. Visits are charged as an entry fee plus a time charge in 10-minute blocks, with drinks and snacks included and no further charge after two hours. On weekdays, children aged five and under enter free. Adoption applications are accepted every day of the year, and the shelter also takes consultations about cats in need of rescue.
