Miauteria Cat Café
Miauteria Cat Café is the first cat cafe in the state of Sergipe, opened in August 2025 on Avenida Dr. Edelzio Vieira de Melo in Aracaju. The cats live in a separate room next to the cafe, visible through glass from the tables, and visitors who want to go in and play with them pay a small entry fee that goes toward their care. All the cats are rescued by the local protection group Manjedoura Aju, and they are neutered, dewormed and tested for FIV before being put up for responsible adoption. The kitchen serves coffees, juices, tapiocas, omelettes, sandwiches, toasts, savoury snacks and cakes, with vegan options and cat-shaped desserts. There is also a small shop with cat-themed gifts and hand-painted pictures, and the cafe hosts workshops and Sunday-morning yoga.
