Lovvi Cat Café
Lovvi Cat Café is a cat cafe on Rua Primeiro de Março in the centre of São Leopoldo, in the Vale dos Sinos north of Porto Alegre. It opened in March 2026 as the valley's first cat cafe. The large cafe room serves coffee, cakes, pies, brownies and savoury snacks. At the back is a separate cat area called Vila Miau, with a covered space and a screened outdoor enclosure. About ten rescued cats live there. They come from the rescue group SOS Gatinhos in Esteio and are all available for responsible adoption, which needs an application form and screened windows at home. Entry to Vila Miau is charged per adult, the whole fee goes to the cats' care, and house rules keep the cats calm. The cafe hosts events such as book club meetings and seasonal teas, and it is closed on Mondays.

Gatinhos Café is a cat cafe in a converted house on Rua Domingos José de Almeida, a quiet residential street in Rio Branco, Porto Alegre. Opened in August 2023, it serves cakes, pies, sandwiches, frappés and coffee, many shaped or decorated like cats, with plenty of vegan options. Entry to the cat room is charged per person for a 10-minute visit, and the fee pays for food, litter and weekly vet visits. Adoption needs an application form and photos showing safety screens on every window. Two mascots, Gatuxa and Gatuxo, live at the cafe for good. The cafe is pet-friendly and closed on Mondays.
