La Maison d'Élise was a bar à chats at 6 Rue Jean de La Fontaine in central Nantes, opposite the Graslin car park. Élise Jeantet opened it in August 2015, and it was home to five Maine Coons, including Jûn, Gala and Jerkhan, which had a room of their own where they could rest undisturbed. It opened from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM, for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks, with coffee ground on site, organic teas and juices and homemade cakes and pastries, and it also sold second-hand books. Visitors were asked to disinfect their hands and not to wake, feed or forcibly hold the cats. It has since closed permanently.
