Kitty Co. Cat Rescue and Lounge
Kitty Co. Cat Rescue and Lounge is the public cat lounge of Kitty Co. Cat Rescue, a volunteer-led, no-kill nonprofit founded during the pandemic that serves Bridgeville and the surrounding South Hills. The lounge opened in February 2026 on Baldwin Street, next to Mutt Manor, and gives visitors a cozy room of seating and toys in which to spend time with cats and kittens of every age and temperament that are adoptable or being prepared for adoption. Visits are charged by the half hour or hour, walk-ins are welcome during the limited open hours, and guests wear shoe covers. Cats should not be lifted without asking, and children under 16 must be supervised. Snacks, tea, coffee, soft drinks and juice are sold for a small fee. Visitors do not have to adopt, and the rescue also runs a pet supply pantry and looks for volunteers and fosters.

Whisker Wonderland Cat Lounge
Bellevue, Pennsylvania10 mi / 16 km
Whisker Wonderland is a cat lounge and adoption center on North Balph Avenue in Bellevue, just northwest of Pittsburgh, opened in early 2025 by artist and rescuer Anna Montano. The lounge is decorated with murals by local artists and handmade climbing structures built from repurposed materials, and it is home to rescued community cats that are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and tested before adoption. Visitors pay an hourly entrance fee to pet the cats, work or study, spend time with friends or look for a cat to adopt. Booking ahead is best, and walk-ins are taken as space allows. The lounge puts an emphasis on inclusion, and quieter time slots can be arranged for visitors with sensory needs or disabilities. It also offers free classes on trap-neuter-return, events for children and adults with local businesses, and birthday parties.

Adoptable cats and kittens live together in an open, cage-free room with climbing structures, toys and soft resting spots, and visitors can come in simply to relax and play with them or to look for a cat to adopt. There is a small entry fee, walk-ins are welcome, and visits can also be reserved through the rescue's website. The lounge opens on weekday evenings except Monday and for longer hours at weekends, and it closes on major holidays. It also hosts fundraising events such as bingo nights.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania11 mi / 18 km
The Black Cat Market is a woman-owned cat cafe and adoption center on Penn Avenue in Garfield, which began on Butler Street in Lawrenceville in 2017 before moving to its current home. Visitors book half-hour sessions in a cat room designed for both people and cats, with benches that double as tunnels for cats that want to hide, and reservations are highly recommended, though a few walk-in spaces are kept. All the cats in the room can be adopted, and well over a hundred have found homes through the market. Drinks and cat-themed merchandise are sold at the front, and a fuller coffee shop is planned. The space hosts a steady programme of community events, including adults-only yoga with the cats, craft workshops and art shows, and it can be booked for parties. Students get a small weekday discount, and a frequent-visitor pass is available.

Cattfeinated Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on East Otterman Street in downtown Greensburg, Westmoreland County's first, opened in November 2019. One side of the building is a full coffee bar and boutique with coffee, tea, bubble tea, local baked goods and pet-themed gifts, and the other holds two separate cat playrooms, including a kitten room, with around 20 adoptable cats. The cafe can be visited without going in with the cats. Inside is also the Thrifty Kitty Catique, a thrift shop whose proceeds benefit Wayward Whiskers.
