Kamiita Nyankotei
Kamiita Nyankotei is a rescue cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Kamiitabashi, Itabashi, a short walk from the south exit of Kami-Itabashi Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. Opened in October 2023 with crowdfunding support, it is the second Tokyo branch of the Nyankotei group, whose first cafe is in Kanamecho. The cafe houses rescued cats from kittens to adults and has a dedicated, European-styled floor for cats carrying feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Cats can be adopted through Nyankotei's foster-parent process. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, per hour or as a free-time plan, with unlimited drinks and automatic extensions; school-age children pay half and preschoolers enter free with a guardian. Socks are required, and booking by phone or LINE is recommended on weekends and holidays. It is open daily from noon to 9 PM, and part of each admission funds rescue and TNR work.
