Jipsaui Haru Gwangan

Jipsaui Haru Gwangan is a rescue cat cafe on the third floor of a building at the Gwangalli Beach intersection in Suyeong-gu, a short walk from the beach. It is the newest Busan branch of Jipsaui Haru, a chain that began in 2015 with 15 rescued cats and now looks after around 500 cats across branches in Seoul, Busan and Daegu, taking in about 100 new rescues a year. The cafes are self-funded shelters: entry fees pay for the cats' care, and the chain also campaigns against abandonment and promotes responsible ownership. Cats go through a socialisation period in the cafe before being matched with adopters. Entry is a flat fee for all ages, with drinks and cat treats sold separately. The cafe is open daily until 10 PM.
