Cat Cafe MIACIS Nekomamire Kobe Motomachi is a rescue cat cafe on the second floor of a building at the western end of Motomachidori, Chuo Ward, one minute on foot from Hanshin Nishi-Motomachi Station, two minutes from Minato-Motomachi Station on the subway Kaigan Line and about five minutes from JR Motomachi through the shopping arcade. Opened in 2015 as a sister store of the MIACIS cafe in Higashi-Kakogawa, it bills itself as the first cat cafe in Hyogo where visitors may hold the cats. Around 20 cats, many of them taken in from rescue groups, are socialised so that being held does not stress them, and more than 50 have gone on to new homes through the cafe.
