Fireflies Cat Cafe
Fireflies Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on the third floor of Hotel Yog, part of the Fireflies Retreat Home hostel, at Kaldhara Chowk in Paknajol on the northwestern edge of Thamel, Kathmandu. The hostel opened the cafe in 2025 with eleven cats, and it now keeps a group of around eight or more cats, sometimes including kittens, in a calm room where guests can sit and play with them. Visitors pay a flat entry fee that includes one drink, and the kitchen serves coffee, snacks and vegetarian and vegan meals. The same building houses the hostel's rooms and a yoga studio, so the cafe is a quiet spot just off the busy Thamel lanes. It is open every day from morning until early evening.
