El Jefe Cat Cafe

El ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Jefe Cat Cafe, also known as El Jefe Cat Lounge, is Tucson's first cat cafe, on North Campbell Avenue north of the University of Arizona, near Pastiche. Its three-story lounge houses about 35 adoptable cats, with a separate kitten room on the top floor, and is one of the larger cat cafes in the country. Visits are one-hour sessions charged per person; reservations are recommended but walk-ins are accepted, and the lounge may close an hour early on evenings with no bookings. All ages are welcome, though ages five and up are recommended, anyone under 18 must come with an adult, and children must stay supervised and calm around the cats. The coffee bar serves espresso, gelato, affogato, Italian sodas and cake pops, and a boutique sells cat merchandise. Cat yoga, bingo, trivia and comedy nights are regular events. El Jefe does not take in cats.
