Denver Cat Company

Denver ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Cat Company is a cat cafe on historic Tennyson Street in Denver's Berkeley neighborhood, set among boutiques and restaurants. Opened in 2014 by attorney Leila Qari, it was one of the first cat cafes in the United States. All of its cats, usually around 20, come from its sister nonprofit, Denver Cat Rescue, which pulls cats from high-kill shelters in underfunded states, and every cat is available for adoption; the two have placed more than 6,000 cats. The lounge was built to Kate Benjamin's cat cafe design, with ceiling-level walkways and hiding spots so the cats can choose when to seek attention. A single entry fee covers a visit for as long as you like, space permitting, and online booking is available. Drinks and basic packaged snacks are sold, 10 percent of sales goes to the rescue, and gift cards and memberships are offered.
